Meadowlark Service League is a non-profit organization of dedicated women from Camarillo and Ventura County area committed to raising funds for local charitable organizations and programs. Since its inception in 1971, the Meadowlark Service League has donated almost $3,000,000 to a variety of local charities. In 2012, MSL contributed $233,000 to charities and scholarships for graduating seniors.

Meadowlark Service League Celebrates 40 Years of Service

This year the Meadowlark Service League (MSL) celebrates its 40th birthday. The non-profit began as an auxiliary to the Children’s Home Society of Los Angeles until 1972 when it was incorporated “to initiate, educate, promote and develop charitable endeavors in the community and to raise funds to support such purposes.” Read more...

Meadowlark Service League Distributes $233,000 in Grants and Scholarships

At its annual spring luncheon on Thursday at Las Posas Country Club, the Meadowlark Service League distributed over $233,000.  Of that amount, $208,900 was provided as grants to 29 deserving, local nonprofit organizations.  In addition, $25,000 was awarded in scholarships to high school graduates from both Adolfo Camarillo and Rio Mesa High Schools.

Meadowlark Service League is a non-profit organization of women dedicated to raising funds for a variety of local charities and programs that provide services to meet the needs of Camarillo and the greater Ventura County area. 

Recipients of the grants are:  ACHS Camarillo High After Prom Program, Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, Brain Injury Center, Camarillo Arts Council, Camarillo Family YMCA, Camarillo Hospice, Camarillo Ranch Foundation,  CASA of Ventura County,  Conejo Free Clinic, Food Share, Luggage of Love, Make-A-Wish Foundation,  Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent Hospital,  New West Symphony, OASIS, Ombudsman Program, Pleasant Valley Education Foundation,  Project Understanding Homeless Program, RAIN Communities, Rescue Mission Mens & Lighthouse Women’s, Rio Mesa High School After Prom Program, SOKM, Special Olympics of  Ventura County, St. John’s Healthcare Foundation, St. John’s Cancer Center of Ventura County and Ventura County Search & Rescue.

Camarillo philanthropist George Kroll remembered for his work and support

Meadowlarks provide comfort for rain residents

At their December meeting at Saticoy Country Club, Meadowlark Service League (MSL) supported RAIN Transitional Living Center by providing coverlets, quilts and bedspreads as well as toys for the kids. Isaac Romero, Children’s Coordinator at RAIN, thanked Meadowlarks for their generosity and said the bedding would be used to provide a warm and cozy room to individuals that are joining RAIN particularly in the cold wintry months to come.
