2007 Biggest Success Ever!
Everything came together
to make this wonderful day our biggest success yet for over 2,000 attendees with profits totaling more
than $163,000! Our guests enjoyed fine wines poured by more than 100 wineries and an array of mouthwatering specialties provided
by fifty outstanding Ventura County restaurants and caterers. Exciting entertainment by Jeanne Tatum and her
group and Bryan McCann and the Grooveheads had many people dancing. The Silent Auction held something of
interest for everyone. New this year was our Silent Wine Auction which offered wonderful opportunities for wine-lovers
to take some fine wines home with them. Attendees also enjoyed the opportunity to look over the latest new car models
on display by our Champagne Sponsor Jaguar Land Rover Ventura and Cabernet Sponsor Team
Infinity and Team Nissan.
The Live Wine Auction Gala exceeded everyone's expectations.
It was a perfect Saturday evening in the East Garden of the Camarillo Ranch. Our guests enjoyed wine from the "Official
2007 A Taste of Camarillo Winery", Eberle Winery, as well as wine and champagne donated by Neil Conway of Southern
Wine and Spirits. Sybil Coyner of BuenaVentura Catering provided delicious hors d'oeuvres. The quality
of the wines auctioned was exceptional and encouraged many people to bid. Of particular note were some outstanding bottles
which came from the cellars of generous private collectors. The Mexican Villa vacation, the Wine Country Limousine Trip
and the Limoneira Balloon ride proved to be very popular. The profit from the Live Wine Auction was more than double
last year's. Plans are already underway for next year's Live Wine Auction Gala.
